This week we have been using the iconic Wing Chun Wooden Dummy to help some of our advanced kids with their techniques. Some of the benefits of using the Wooden Dummy are;

a, It stays still! you have to work around it.

b, It allows the student to work on range finding safely, ie. no one is accidently struck.

c, For new techniques it allows the kids to gain understanding of the techniques technical aspects before using it on a moving target.

d, It is also great for some time to work independently and solely focus on the movement. Until the camera was spotted!!
