Glenn Shand, Chief Instructor at Peninsula Kung Fu, is a consummate teacher of martial arts and an expert practitioner of traditional Wing Chun Kung Fu.

In 1995, Sifu Glenn commenced training the art of traditional Wing Chun directly under the guidance of Grandmaster William Cheung and Sifu Bruce Corles of the World Wing Chun Kung Fu Association.

After many years of training and commitment, Glenn Shand successfully achieved Level 10 status and was awarded the coveted Wing Chun Instructor Gold Sash from Sifu Bruce Corles. Shortly thereafter, Glenn Shand was acknowledged personally by Grandmaster William Cheung and promoted to the title honour of Sifu – meaning teacher.

Glenn Shand began Peninsula Kung Fu in 2005 with a vision to provide the Mornington Peninsula with an exemplary Martial Arts School. Peninsula Kung Fu is accessible to people from all walks of life; a martial arts school able to provide individual development as well as to build and maintain a strong school community.

Sifu Glenn Shand’s name is synonymous in the local area with excellence, dedication, care and humility. You will not find Sifu Glenn showing off his skills openly, however you will always find him imparting his knowledge to students and enjoying seeing them succeed in their training and using the knowledge he has given to become the best they can be.

Sifu Glenn enjoys a love of teaching and the challenge of conveying knowledge and communicating techniques at all levels and to all students.

Passionate about promoting anti bullying as well as supporting domestic violence victims, Sifu Glenn represents a moral goodness in society. Peninsula Kung Fu is working with charities and within the School to stamp out both of these emotive issues.
